Prof. Giovanni Circella
Affiliation: Ghent University; University of California, DavisGiovanni Circella is a BOF Professor of Mobility at Ghent University and the Head of the Master School of the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT) Urban Mobility. He is also the Director of the 3 Revolutions Future Mobility Program at the University of California, Davis. His research interests include travel behaviour and emerging transportation services, sustainable transportation, and the impacts of information and communication technology (ICT), remote work, e-shopping, new mobility and vehicle automation on travel behavior and auto ownership. He is the elected Secretary of the International Association for Travel Behaviour Research and Co-Secretary General of the World Conference on Transport Research Society. He has served on numerous NCHRP and TCRP panels and regularly cooperates with industry and public agencies in Europe, the United States and South America.
Prof. Ruggiero Lovreglio
Affiliation: Massey University, New ZealandHis research focuses on human behaviour during emergencies, evacuation and fire safety engineering, and the use of emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence, virtual and augmented reality for safety training. He has authored more than 100 peer-reviewed publications, cited in international policy documents by ISO, WHO and the UK Government. Prof. Lovreglio has received several awards, including the Massey Research Medal (Early Career) and the SFPE “5 Under 35” International Award. He serves as Associate Editor for Safety Science, Fire Technology and Journal of Safety Science and Resilience.
