Prof. Giovanni Circella
Affiliation: University of California, DavisDr. Giovanni Circella is the Director of the 3 Revolutions Future Mobility Program at UC Davis, and a globally recognized expert in transportation planning, emerging mobility services, and travel behavior research.
His work explores the adoption and impacts of new mobility options—including shared mobility, micromobility, autonomous vehicles, and telecommuting—and how digitalization and social trends affect travel patterns. He leads international research projects and advises public agencies on strategies for sustainable urban mobility and smart city transitions.
Prof. Ruggiero Lovreglio
Affiliation: Massey University, New ZealandHis research focuses on human behaviour during emergencies, evacuation and fire safety engineering, and the use of emerging technologies such as AI, virtual and augmented reality for safety training. He has authored more than 100 peer-reviewed publications, and his work has been cited in international policy documents by the ISO, WHO, and UK Government. Prof. Lovreglio has received several awards, including the Massey Research Medal (Early Career) and the SFPE “5 Under 35” International Award. He is an Associate Editor for Safety Science (Elsevier), Fire Technology (Springer), and Journal of Safety Science and Resilience (Elsevier) and member of the Editorial Board of Fire Safety Journal (Elsevier) and Virtual Reality (Springer).
