Scope & Topics

The International CRUSOE  Sustainable Mobility Forum aims to serve as a multidisciplinary platform for discussing the most pressing challenges and emerging innovations in the field of intelligent transportation and sustainable mobility systems.

In the context of an increasingly interconnected and environmentally-conscious world, the congress welcomes contributions that explore scientific, technological, social, and policy-oriented perspectives on mobility. The event seeks to foster dialogue among academia, industry, and public stakeholders to promote sustainable, safe, efficient, and inclusive transportation solutions.

By bringing together experts and professionals from diverse disciplines and sectors, the congress aims to stimulate synergies and promote transformative approaches to mobility that respond to current and future societal needs.

We encourage the submission of papers that address theoretical advancements, practical applications, case studies, experimental research, and policy analyses in the following core thematic areas:

  • Autonomous vehicles and vehicular connectivity (V2X)

  • Urban solutions prioritizing safety, efficiency, and comfort
  • Smart city projects integrating mobility services
  • User-centered digital mobility platforms
Freight and Logistics
  • Innovations in sustainable freight transportation
  • Impact of digitalization on supply chains and urban logistics
  • Last-mile delivery solutions for urban and rural areas
  • Policy strategies for energy efficiency in freight
  • Use of drones, robotics, and unconventional delivery methods

The final decision whether an abstract submission is accepted will be taken by the Scientific Committee. Additionally, selected papers will be published in special issues (coming soon).

Submission Guidelines for Authors

We invite the submission of original research papers, case studies, and work-in-progress contributions.

Submissions are to be written in English and should be submitted electronically using the EasyChair portal (COMING SOON!). All submissions must be relevant to the conference topics. Authors will be asked to select the themes from the topic list that suit best to their submission. Please upload your short paper as a PDF file and name it as follows: “last name_first name_smf2025”.

There is no suggested template for smf2025. Optionally you can use one of the following:

Abstracts should be submitted as a PDF file and include:

  • Title of the paper
  • Name(s) and affiliation(s) of the author(s)
  • Thematic area addressed
  • Up to 5 keywords

Length: Abstracts should not exceed one page (aprox. 500 words).
